Is Arrival App for me and my business?

Arrival App is for business owners and professionals who want a simple, user-friendly, and hassle-free way to professionally welcome their visitors, without a receptionist.

Arrival App can be used in a variety of settings, including clinical spaces such as therapy, body worker, or acupuncturist practices. It can also be used by other types of professionals, such as attorneys and accountants.

Here are some reasons why you might use Arrival App:

  • You want to welcome your visitors professionally, but you can’t be in two places at once
  • You believe a warm welcome puts people at ease
  • You want a hassle-free experience for your visitors – they shouldn’t have to enter personal information into a kiosk or sign-in sheet
  • You do not have personnel in your practice to staff a waiting room
  • If a visitor is running late, you’d like to use your time in some other way than making back and forth trips to your waiting room
  • You already know who is on your calendar – so when you get a notification that a visitor has arrived, you know who it is

How does Arrival App work?

Welcome your visitors as only you know how – set up Arrival App with a Welcome message which you can customize to your professional setting, and your clientele.

When they arrive, visitors simply check in by tapping on the name of the person they have come to see. After a visitor checks in, Arrival App sends a text message letting you know your visitor has arrived.

How do I choose the right subscription?

Calculate how many visitors your business receives during a typical busy month, and multiply this number by 2. Multiplying by 2 gives you a buffer to account for visitors who check in more than once, or for an unexpected uptick in traffic. Then choose the subscription level that gives you at least this many checkins each month. Don’t worry, you can change subscription levels any time!

What do I need to run Arrival App?

To run Arrival App, you will need

  • an internet connection
  • an iPad* running Safari or Chrome
  • a secure mount to securely attach your iPad to the wall or a piece of furniture in your waiting room

*While Arrival App has been rigorously tested for use on iPads only, there are satisfied Arrival App users using other types of tablets.

Note that you can manage your settings in Preview Mode on any device that runs Chrome or Safari, but Live Mode works best in Chrome or Safari on an iPad.

To use Safari, on the iPad you want to use in your office, just open the app with this icon:

How do I set up Arrival App?

  • Go to arrivalapp.com.
  • Get familiar with the app in a few screens and choose a subscription that works for you. You can change subscriptions at any time.
  • Start your free trial.
  • Invite your team.
  • Secure your device.
  • Begin welcoming visitors with Arrival App!

Can I use Arrival App if I don’t have good cell reception in my office?

If you or your colleagues do not have good cell reception in your office, we recommend setting up an internet-based phone number (such as Google Voice), so you can receive text messages via the wifi connection in your office. Make sure Team members who plan to receive messages via internet-based phone numbers register and authenticate their internet-based phone number (not their cell phone number) when responding to their Arrival App invite. Can I set up more than one Arrival App account?

Of course! If your business operates in more than one location, with different Team members at each location, you will need to set up more than one account.

In this case, you will need to use a unique email address for each account. Note that some email providers allow “plus aliases.” For example, let’s say your email address is therapist@gmail.com. If you signed up for two Arrival App accounts, you might use the email address therapist@gmail.com for the first account, and therapist+1@gmail.com for the second account. Arrival App requires each account be associated with a unique email address; however, by using an alias, your Arrival App communications for both accounts would arrive in the same email inbox, belonging to therapist@gmail.com.
